DESCRIPTION

One of the most popular places to visit in the city of Mandalay, Myanmar, is the U Bien Bridge. We visited the bridge on our last day in Myanmar before we flew out to Thailand the next day.

The problem with the bridge is that you can’t really see it very well when you’re walking on it. Kind of like trying to get a good look at a car while you’re driving it. Which I think supports my theory of why it’s always better to drive a not so nice car and look at all of the nice cars around you, instead of driving a nice car and having to look at all of the not so nice cars around you. Am I right?

Anyways, to get around this bridge conundrum, we decided to hire a boat to take us out on the water so we could get a view of the bridge from a distance. Although it wasn’t exactly cheap, it was totally worth it for a cool perspective of the bridge. And eventually, when the sun started to set, we get a really cool view from the water.
