DESCRIPTION

One morning, while staying in the Many Glacier campground of Glacier National Park, I woke up early to get some sunrise photos. I had spotted these gnarled limber pines on the hillside the day before, so decided to make that my destination.

The sunrise ended up being a bit of a bust, but the light was still good, and it made the photo feel somewhat moody which is never a bad thing. I can’t say the same about everything in life, however, because some things can just be very bad when they become moody. Let’s hope that none of the females in my life read that…

As I sat on the hillside watching the light change, I caught a glimpse of something black emerging from the trees far down below me. It turned out to be a black bear with two cubs crossing the river. Not a bad morning at all.
