DESCRIPTION

Denali National Park in Alaska is one of the most beautiful and untamed places that I’ve ever been. Many people call Alaska “The Last Frontier” and it certainly is, but Denali takes this feeling to an entirely new level. Not only is it home to Mount Mckinley (the tallest peak in North America) it’s also the territory of grizzly bears, carribou, wolves, moose, and many other impressive and large animals.

It’s probably the expanse and untouched feeling of Denali that gives it the special feel, however. On our trip to Alaska, we were planning to spend a few days in Denali hiking and camping throughout the park. Unfortunaltely, however, there was an unexpected snow storm that ended up forcing the park road to close and we had to cancel our plans. We were able to see some of the park and this photo was taken a few miles from the entrance of the park.
