Check out my new Gear and Resources Page!

I’ve recently been spending a bunch of time putting together a complete list of all of the main gear, equipment, tools, and resources that I use day to day for adventuring, editing, and of course, picture-taking. My goal is to provide you with honest and valuable feedback on gear that I use, why I use it, and other options that might be available.

There is so much out there that is always trying to grab our attention and it can be impossible to keep up with all of the new technology, recent product releases, and improved features. There is also a heap of advertising and marketing that can sometimes be hard to see through in order to make informed decisions on what would be best for your purposes. That’s why I wanted to tell you what I use and give you real feedback about what works, what doesn’t work, and what simply doesn’t matter.

I should also emphasize that the equipment and tools that you use to make a photo aren’t as critical as many people seem to believe. The brand of your camera and the megapixel count of your sensor play only a small part in the overall process. Therefore, this is the gear that I enjoy using and that works for me but there are tons of other options out there as well.

That being said, some equipment will give you an edge over other equipment and will perform better and help you achieve what you want more than another product might. I spend time researching gear before I buy it so that I can be sure to get the best value for my money and to make sure that the equipment that I use is reliable and will provide the results that I want. This page is my way to pass that research along to you to hopefully save you some time and help you decide what you need.

Some of the buttons and links on the page are affiliate links, which basically means that if you click the button and make a purchase on the site that you go to, then it’s possible that I will get a small percentage of that purchase. There is no cost or affect to you when you make the purchase but I just wanted to give you a heads up anyways. I have a small disclaimer on the page as well if you want to check it out. Many people get skeptical about the honesty of reviews when they know that there are affiliate links involved, but I would never recommend a product that I didn’t trust or have full confidence in just for an affiliate sale as that doesn’t make sense at all.

The new Gear and Resources page will be a cornerstone of my website going forward and I will keep it updated as new products are released and as the gear that I use changes over time.
